Shadow Lane’s audio interview series featured Tony and Eve talking to real people into spanking about their histories, experiences, opinions and fantasies. Speaking to spankers, spankees and switchable players, frustrations as well as triumphs emerged,  always beginning with recollections of exactly when and how the fascination took hold in each individual.

When these taped conversations debuted, in the 1990’s, scene people were much more isolated than at present and the information contained in these interviews proved helpful and empowering, both practically and emotionally, convincing enthusiasts that they weren’t alone and that seeking an active play life was not out of the question, but actually viable. 

Keep in mind, these tapes are literally antiques, some around thirty-five years old, and some of the statements may therefore seem baffling, given how much has changed. For example, when Eve suggests that one may book a spanking session at a club, (i.e., engage a professional to play with for a set time and fee) saying it may cost as little as a couple of spanking videos, be aware that spanking videos at that time went for ninety dollars apiece and a half hour session at a typical B&D club was only $65!
